Yes, Elvis was born with a full head of blonde hair. His hair color started to darken throughout his teenage years and once Elvis entered High School his hair was a dark brown. Beginning in 1956 Elvis dyed his hair black and did so up until his death (sadly) of August 16, 1977.

Elvis had fairly straight dark blonde hair when he was young. As a teen it darkened to a mousey brown colour. He dyed it black and had his mother perm it as a teen, to emulate his hero Tony Curtis.

Elvis used Dax black & White hair gel/pomade.

Later in the seventies, it's believed Elvis was Snow White, and had to dye his hair an intense shade if blue, to maintain his black hair.
