The song "Almost Persuaded" was written by Glenn Sutton and Billy Sherrill, and first recorded by David Houston in 1966. Since then it has been redone by many different singers, including Conway Twitty.
It was originally done by Mel Mcdaniel then remade by Sammy Kershaw...Conway had a song "tight fitting jeans"
In Conway Twitty's DVD, 'On the Mississippi', he & Tammy Wynette did sing together briefly. That was a good DVD. If you're a real Conway fan, get his autobiography (in paperback at Amazon, used-good prices!)! It is a very interesting book! Not only is it interesting to learn more about Mr. T, but also to find out how he got started, his first manager, producing his own albums, etc. It even touches on his marriages & divorces (before his fourth to Dee Henry), and Mickey has some enigmatic comments. Also the kids responded some on their lives growing up.
Conway Twitty and Sam Moore. I was in the audience when the album "Country Rhythm & Blues" where this track is from, hat it's only public concert in LA, I think they even made a video of it. Here is a studio clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAA_LUCb0QE amu
No he didn't sing Truth About The Jews, the song is by Conway Twitty And not byElvis Presley who died 16th August 1977, sounds a bit like Elvis but I'm afraid it isn't but Elvis did sing Only make Believe which is the same music and tune but different words.

"Don't Cry Joni" was released in August of 1975 by Conway Twitty on MCA Records. It was on the album "High Priest of Country Music". I heard that she relunctant to tape it at first, but her dad told her they just needed her to sing the part at first, & then they'd put another voice in later. Joni Lee was the child at that time interested in a music career. Michael Twitty has had quite a bit of success in his country music career. Kathy Twitty also recorded a song with her dad that's on one of his albums. I really liked her voice!
That was the album with the same name! Conway named most of his albums after a hit song(s) on that record. He made 110 albums, some are available on eBay at really reasonable prices! Then, if you have access to one of those new turntable/software programs, you could copy them to cds! My husband and I are in the midst of that process now! I have about 20 of his albums, and almost as many cds, which I listen to at work every day. He's the best!
you can if its a talent competition and you want to make an impression but remember its more important to feel the song, induldge in it and sing it right with emotion.
yes they do sing any one can sing when ever they feel like singing
