I asked a question a few hours ago about charging the a/c on my 2000 grand cherokee. I had already paid a mechanic $150 and he said I probably had a leak in the evaporator coil. BIG BUCKS to fix. I went to Odd Lots and bought a can of 134a and figured out how to do it myself ( with the help of a manual). It cost me $10 and for how long? don't know at this point but, for now, I'm COOL. Oh yeah, if you are facing the engine the little port is towards the left hand side - it sticks straight up (like a cap for your tires except slightly bigger)

Hi, I have a 93 jeep grand Cherokee with 250,000 miles. I was quoted $650. 00 to have the compressor and dryer replaced. I did the labor(30min) and the shop recharged it for around $370. This also included the compressor, dryer and o ring kit. Thanks, Mo

Your filter has mildew. Try spraying Lysol into the fresh air vent (at the bottom of your windshield) and see if that does the trick. If not, then you'll have to tear into the ducting.
