NO Bass is longer scale length and much more tension - you will ruin your acoustic. Flog it on Ebay and buy and acoutsic bass
While the previous answer is correct to a point (a bass has a longer scale and more tension) I've seen it done by replacing the nut and bridge and using BEAD strings and tuning them to EADG.
