If Bose brand speakers do not work outside perhaps they are too far away from the source. Bose outside speakers also require Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for them to work properly.

changing the radio is only part of the change . All speakers are BOSE speakers also
The speakers in your car are the only thing that are Bose. The CD Changer is actually an alpine unit. The Navigation command unit is from Mercedes Benz, not Bose, or alpine. If you have a CD in the changer and you are getting an error, the problem is with the changer, not the unit. If you have a CD in the unit and you are getting an error the problem is in the unit.
If it's not the fuse (see owners manual for which one) then now is the perfect opportunity to get an aftermarket head unit. The Bose units are marginally OK only because the individual speakers have their own Bose amp attached to it.
i have a 1991 and i replaced the door speakers (had the stock Bose) with 2 5 1/2" speakers- i bought my speakers from walmart for $40 and they sound WAY better than the stock ones- you will need to drill pilot holes in the stock plastic"boxes" in the doors- the holes will be different no matter what speaker you buy unless you find a used or new Bose set and spend $110 a pair for them- hope this helps chris
It depends on what kind of speaker you want for your car and how much money you are willing to spend. Bose is probably the best speakers you can buy but is expensive. Kenwood and Polk Audio make good subs. If you want a lot of bass these are the best choice.
