That depends on what year. I have a 1994 GCL with a cassette only. I've been using a cassette adapter to my MP3 player. The only problem is that the cassette deck has a short (I think). Anyway, on a 1994 JGCL, remove the console face plate (only four little screws) surrounding the radio. After that it's pretty easy. Just remove the screws surrounding the radio, and pull it out. Now, finding a non-DaimlerChrysler radio to fit in the spot...that's another question.
additional info: Check with Crutchfield.com for tons of great information concerning car audio. I've used them several times and they sell good equipment at a fair price and whats even better is that they send factory wiring harness kits so your new installation is pretty close to plug and play. Their support line is better than you can believe and they can tell you almost anything about any difficulty you might be experiencing. I'll go to the grave singing praises about this company.....lol, and I don't even work for em !!!
I pulled an AMFM Radio with Casette & CD out of a 1998 JGC at a junkyard and it fits just fine in my 1994 JGC. The bennefit is that it has the original green back lighting to match the rest of my instrument dash panel. Also it is plug and play.
i just removed one from a 2002 wrangler and you can try this as it should be basicly the same.First pry up the defroster trim panel strip that runs along the windshield using a flat blade tool such as a small flat blade screwdriver or a trim panel removal tool. Then lookingfrom the windshield toward the radio trim piece their should be two screws holding the top of the panel, remove them, then remover the ashtray and their should be a screw holding the panel to the front of the dash. This should be all the screws holding it .Then grab the top on the panel and lift it slightly and pull forward slowley causing the trim clips to unsnap from the dash. This should expose the radio and their are two bolts holding the radio in the dash.on my radio their was also a bracket on the back radio bolted to the firewall which can be seen looking down the front of the windshield where the defroster panel was removed from on on each side of the radio.remove the two nuts holding it and the radio should then be able to be removed. Hope this helps
I used these instructions to gain access to the light bulbs for the heater/ac controls on my 1998 Wrangler SE. All work perfect, however there were two more screws located behind the ash tray.
so, O.K. do the above, but realize that there are 2 huge brackets holding the radio from 2 separate back braces. 10mm bolts looking down from the windshield.
no
It pull's off and snaps back on.
Is not an even radio exchange. but you may make it fit with some modifications. Anything is possible
try looking at tss-radio.com these guys have everything you could ever want for sirius, even the radios!
Claw it out with your nails...hehe...jusy kidding...Is the radio built in or superficial? If it's built in, there's not much you can actually do. But if it is superficial, then if you slide something under the edges, you can pry it up.

The remote wire on the factory radio in a 2005 F150 Ford Supercrew is usually blue. The remote wire is used to connect extra things to a radio that are not already factory installed.
Its a Ford, that's the problem,
