I contacted the Discovery Planet. They replied stating that the series has been put on the shelf for now. They are not sure whether or not it will continue. I suggest that if you are a fan as I am you write to them. They told me that my letter would be sent to the program directors so they are aware of my interest in the series. Everyone who enjoys this series needs to write to Discovery or Animal Planet.
No they have decided to stop the series since of August 2009.
I sent an e-mail to Animal Planet in early August 2009. I was informed that the series stopped being filmed in 2008 (it's true- season 4 was filmed from September 2007 to February 2008). Meerkat Manor was cancelled. There is a petition addressed to network executives to help bring it back. The link is:
