my take is that yes, there is going to be more matrix movies, and there is strong evidence to suggest this to be the case.
this is because it has been held up due to court cases, now that the court cases have been solved, and the ownership of the matrix franchise decided, the next of the movie can be made.
this is why it has been so many years now and the matrix franchise was on hold, it was all down to legal reasons about who owned the matrix film ideas, and the court case was won by sophia stewart who now claims to own the rights to make the next matrix film.
