Why is Rocky Horror Picture Show rated r?

I don't think this film should be rated R. It was perfectly fine for my 10,11, & 12 year olds. I really think that it should be rated Pg-13. I loved this movie and i would let any 12 year old watch this!

And if your worried about having your 12 year old watch it, don't be. I might just suggest that they have some friends watch it with them.

My Bloody Valentine (2008) is rated R for graphic brutal Horror violence and grisly images throughout, some strong sexuality, graphic nudity and language.

The underlying theme of the movie gives it the rating and you have to remember that it was made about 30 years ago. Today it would not be rated R.
