American Airlines does not fly to India as of March 2012. However it used to fly to India on en routes Burbank/Los Angeles, California and/or Chicago O'Hare, Illinois to New Delhi, the Indian capital. It flew to India and not Pakistan because India was more profitable and it had a higher population than Pakistan (est. 10x the population of Pakistan). Also because it would receive competition from five different airlines: Pakistan International Airlines (which flies from New York JFK to Karachi and Lahore, Pakistan), Emirates (which flies from Houston, Seattle, New York JFK, Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Francisco to Pakistan via Dubai), Etihad (which flies from Chicago O'Hare, New York JFK, and Washington DC Dulles/U.S. Capital to Pakistan via Abu Dhabi), Qatar (which flies from Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Montréal, New York JFK, and Washington DC Dulles to Pakistan via Doha), and Delta (which flies from Atlanta to India via Amsterdam and/or Atlanta to Dubai).
American Airlines seeing that they don't need competition, flew the Chicago-New Delhi route instead, but then Air India (a very poor airline according to many people) flew the Chicago-New Delhi and Chicago-Hyderabad India routes from 2010 and still do today.
So that is the long story of why American Airlines flew to India and not Pakistan.
Depending on the airport in France, there are a variety of airlines that fly into France. For example, Delta, Air France, US Airways, Brussels Airlines, EVA Airlines, and Swiss all fly into Paris, France.
Ethiopian Airlines do not fly into Cape Town, they fly into Johannesburg. The Tel Aviv to Johannesburg flight is via Addis Ababa.

PIA flew its first service with the Super Constellation on 07 June 1954 on the route linking Karachi and Dacca (now Dhaka), which were the main cities of the country's western and eastern halves, of which the later is now Bangladesh. On 1 February 1955 the airline flew its first international service, between Karachi and London via Cairo.Ref:http://www.historyofpia.com/history.htmYes, this is true, check http://www.flowersentiments.com to send gifts to Pakistan on this eid
'A great way to fly'
Due to Americans in the Americas afraid of Pakistanis due to the New York attack of 9/11, no western airlines fly to Pakistan, and Pakistan International Airlines, the sole operator of flights from Pakistan to the Americas (specifically New York and Toronto) are not non-stop because of supposedly terrible security. Pakistan is not jealous, as Bangladesh does not have ANY flights to the USA, although Biman Bangladesh Airways usde to have non-stop flights to New York. United Airlines, Jet Airways & Air India are the sole operators for India flights, with nonstop services from Chicago and New York to New Delhi (Air India) and from Newark to Mumbai (Air India, Jet Airways, United) and Delhi (United). American Airlines also flew from Chicago to New Delhi but that was cancelled in 2012.
Yes, Continental airlines (now united Airlines) does fly directly from Mumbai India to Newark.
American Airlines (AA) does not serve India. AA however did have flights that went from the Losangeles-Burbank area, Cali. and the Chicago, Ill. area, to New Delhi, India. Both services terminated in 2012. However, AA probably SERVED India and not Pakistan because India was much more profitable. Less corruption compared to Pakistan and more people that live there. India is the 2nd most populous country in the world, while Pakistan is the 6th most populous country. I wish AA flew the Chicago-Karachi, Pakistan route, but PIA will serve the Chicago-Islamabad-Karachi route (Islamabad also being in Pakistan) starting June 5, 2013. The return flights from Islamabad and Karachi to Chicago will fly via Barcelona, Spain, but I could see much more profit flying either nonstop, or via Toronto Pearson, Canada or London Heathrow, England. However PIA has hinted of flying to LAX (in the Losangeles area), and if that is the case it will probably fly via London Heathrow. So that is why American Airlines serve(d) India and not Pakistan.
Probably because of the strained relationship since 9/11. But western airlines don't just avoid Pakistan. Most western airlines avoid India as well (only United and Delta fly to India, United from Newark to Mumbai and New Delhi, and Delta from Amsterdam to Mumbai), but alot of western airlines used to fly to India (American Airlines from Chicago O'Hare to New Delhi and Delta Airlines Atlanta and New York JFK to Mumbai). Although Pakistan International Airlines flies New York JFK to Karachi and Lahore through Manchester, Air India operates service from Ahmedabad and Mumbai to Newark nonstop, as well as New Delhi to New York JFK and Chicago O'Hare nonstop. Jet Airways also flies Newark to Mumbai through Brussels, Belgium. Biman Bangladesh also offered Dhaka to New York JFK nonstop. The only hope of reaching Pakistan from the USA is through Europe, East/Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or India.
