If you mean the Lost boys, they falled out of their prams when the nurses wasn't looking. If they're not found within 7 days, they get to Neverland.

Or if they're lost by their nannies in places such as Kensington Gardens, Peter (who often goes out from Neverland) finds them.

There aren't many girls in Neverland, because girls are too clever to get lost, (that's actually said by Peter himself.)

Never land is a place that doesn't exist, but all of us at one time would like to go to. It was a way to remove the story from the real world.
