When she got to the first house, the people put her in a wagon and covered her with a sack, then drove her to the next destination. When she got to Philadelphia, she met a man named William Still. Still was the stationmaster of the Underground Railroad. After that, she started helping Still and the Philadelphia Anti-Slavery Society to navigate other slaves to freedom.
