A Soc is a young adult who comes from a predominatly white collar lifestyle, characterized by their often "preppy" dress style. Kaki pants, collared shirt etc. A greaser normally comes from a blue collar or middleclass family, named greasers because of the amount of gell used to slick back their hair. They can also be identified by their tendency to wear leather jackets other leather apparrel.
