Kopa is not in The Lion King; the first film's makers confirm this on the commentary track on the 1995 Laserdisc and the 2003 DVD releases by calling the cub at the end "Fluffy" and not giving it a gender. And the second official film's makers confirm this by not making any references to anyone but the girl Kiara, and using "Fluffy" in the official trailer and confirming it as Kiara in a magazine interview...So Kiara thus blends into the genderless "Fluffy". So Kopa is not an official movie character but only a fanfiction character in profit fanfiction books in the book universe of the franchise. In those fanfiction books, he is Simba and Nala's son.
Kopa was a lion
Canonically, Kiara doesn't have a brother in The Lion King II. Kopa would be considered Kiara's brother, but he doesn't appear or is directly mentioned in the film as he only exists in The Lion King: Six New Adventures and is never spoken of again.
There is no movie about Six New Adventures. But immediately after the original Lion King movie, Disney came out with a book series called "The Lion King: Six New Adventures." In each book, Simba tells a story to his young son, Kopa, about adventures in the Pridelands. Simba hopes Kopa will learn a lesson from these stories.
Great question! I think even Walt Disney animation studios themselves are undecided about this. The small cub we see at the end of The Lion King looks very different from the cub we see at the beginning of The Lion King II. Disney came out with a book series called "The Lion King: Six New Adventures" almost immediately after the first movie. In those books, Simba tells a series of stories to his son, Kopa. But when The Lion King II came out, and Simba had a daughter instead, fans wanted to know-- what happened to Kopa? Disney has never come up with an official explanation other than the fact that they decided to go a different direction and give Simba a daughter. So is Kopa real? I don't think anyone really knows. ;-)
Only in fanfiction do Kopa and Vitani have cub(s). Their names are highly dependent on the fanfiction writer's choice. In the films, they do not have any cub(s) since Kopa does not exist in The Lion King movie universe as the filmmakers on the audio commentary stated the cub seen at the end of the first film was named "Fluffy", and was renamed Kiara in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

No, because Vitani and Kopa don't exist in the same sub-universe. They both exist in the over-all The Lion King universebut Kopa does not exist in the movie universe wherein Vitani does and Vitani doesn't exist in the books wherein Kopa does.

Kopa is not an official The Lion King movie character but a fanfiction character, who in a few profit fanfiction books, is Simba and Nala's son. He is only fanfiction and not official because he was created by people who don't belong to the Walt Disney Company and the film's makers denied Kopa's existence in the movie universe, in the 1995 Laserdisc and the 2003 DVD release, on their commentary track. On the track they reveal th cub at the end was never intented to have any gender and it's nicknamed "Fluffy". Resulting in that Kopa exists only in a few books in the book universe of The Lion King and was created by outsiders.

Nothing happened to him. He doesn't exist in The Lion King movie series but only in The Lion King: Six New Adventures. It is official by the first film's makers that the cub at the end of the first film is not Kopa. It wasn't given a gender or a real name in its own film as they say this on the commentary track on the DVD. And this results in its only official gender and name being the girl Kiara from the only official movie sequel. Thus, nothing happens to Kopa as he never existed in the movie universe.
Kopa is the son of Simba and Nala who first appears in a novel series, The Lion King: Six New Adventures. However, he does not exist in the movie universe when the filmmakers on the audio commentary heard on the DVD and Blu-Ray releases named the cub seen at the end the unisex name, "Fluffy". In the official sequel, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Kopa's existence is never mentioned, and "Fluffy" was created into a daughter named Kiara.
The third Lion King film was titled The Lion King 1½ also known as The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata in countries outside the United States and Canada.
