From all that I have read it seems the primary opposition is from land owners and scenic lovers that say big wind turbines will ruin the scenery. Land owners say the ruined scenery will reduce the value of their property. Scenic lovers just don't want man made objects in their view.

Why is the wind's energy able to move objects?

Because of friction. The kinetic energy in the wind pushes against the particles of the object.

How wave generated in sea?

The waves usually get their energy from the wind. The wind pushes against any small irregularity in the water, creating small ripples, pushes against the small ripples producing larger waves, etc.The waves usually get their energy from the wind. What force is used when winds mills move?

The force used when windmills move is the kinetic energy of the wind. The wind pushes against the blades of the windmill, causing them to rotate and convert the wind's energy into mechanical power.

How is wind energy derived?

Wind energy is derived by harnessing the kinetic energy from the movement of air. This energy is converted into electricity through wind turbines, which consist of blades that rotate when wind blows against them. The rotating blades spin a generator, producing electricity that can be used to power homes, businesses, and other facilities.

What is an Argument against the use of wind power?

An argument against the use of wind power is its intermittency, as wind energy generation is dependent on weather conditions. This can lead to variability in energy output and the need for backup power sources. Additionally, there are concerns about the impact of wind turbines on local ecosystems and wildlife.

As wind travels across the water's surface it pushes against the water and energy in the wind is absorbed by the water What does the interaction between the wind's energy and the water form?

It is NOT tides. I did this on study island, and the CORRECT ANSWER: WAVES

What makes a wind turbine move?

A wind turbine moves when the wind blows against its blades, causing them to rotate. The rotation of the blades drives a generator inside the turbine, converting the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy.

How wind energy produces electricity?

The wind produces energy by pushing against a fan. The fan operates a power making device ( generator, turbine) to produce the electricity. The amount of wind can make more or less power from the system.

What is energy from wind called?

Energy generated from wind is called wind energy or wind power.

How does wind start a wave?

Wind interacts with the surface of the ocean, creating friction that transfers energy into the water. This energy causes ripples to form, which then develop into waves as the wind continues to blow. The longer and stronger the wind blows, the larger and more powerful the waves become.

Does energy come from wind?

Yes, wind energy is generated from the kinetic energy of the wind. This energy can be harnessed using wind turbines to generate electricity.

Are Wind farms used to transform the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy?

Wind turbines (in a wind farm) convert kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy. Not to be confused with wind mills - that turn the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy.
