In this movie Elvis initially is the rich son of an Oilman, named Scott Heyward, but then decides to switch places with a "non-rich man" named Tom Wilson. During this movie Elvis, still playing the role of a "non-rich man" named Tom Wilson, tries to woo Shelley Fabares (who has agreed to go on a date with a wealthy man played by Bill Bixbie) while working as a ski instructor AND restoring a racing boat. In the end Elvis rebuilds the boat, wins the race, gets the girl and earns the respect of his Father.
