While the show was in production, this was a very popular question. Having had two sets of multiples and already having 8 children led to a lot of natural speculation and questions from fans. Jon and Kate mentioned the issue in the Viewer F.A.Q.episode (originally aired February 25, 2008) that Kate is not pregnant and they do not plan on having more children.

The Gosselins did repeatedly expressed an interest in adoption during their marriage. Perhaps in the future either Kate or Jon might adopt more children. This would probably be after finding another relationship and either integrating step-children into the family or adopting additional children.
