*WARNING* SPOILERS AHEAD At the end of the seventh Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), there is a chapter "19 Years later" when the trio have all grown up. Ron and Hermione have ended up as a couple and have two children, Rose and Hugo. Harry ends up marrying Ginny Weasley, and they have three children together, James (after Harry's father), Albus Severus(after the "two greatest headmasters of Hogwarts"), and Lily (after harry's mother).
The phrase 'the Godlen Trio' in referrence to Harry, Hermione, and Ron is never used in the Harry Potter series. The phrase has been around since the early days of the Harry Potter Fandom (fanfiction, fan art, etc.) and is still commonly used today. In all likely hood the phrase was coined by an early fanfiction author, stuck, and became so popular it might as well be canon.
