Cherokees are very integrated and diverse. In fact Chief John Ross was only 1/8th Cherokee. They value a lot more than blood relations. It is one of the only nations to recognize all types of People. Check out the census rolls to see just how many Whites, slaves and Freed slaves lived on Cherokee territory since the 1800's.
