When, in the 1600s, colonization of the New World began, most Europeans came for three primary reasons: 1) Gold 2) God 3) Glory That is... 1) To acquire gold and silver for the sake of wealth. Factors;1) Europeans' technological superiority: Their technology consisted of the Maxim gun (invented in 1884), by which was the world's first ever known automatic machine gun. European countries immediately attained the Maxim, while the repelling Africans were obligated to depend on old fashioned weapons.2) Europeans had the eligibility to keep control over their empire: Steam engines permitted them (Europeans) to effortlessly travel on bodies of water to institute bases of control deep in the African continent.WRONG DONT listen1884!! My guess is your talking around about 1400's about when it became 1884 africa was all ready conquered. Think Avatar. The two factors within Africa that made it vulnerable to European conquest included permittivity, and illiteracy.
Europeans realized the wealth of the New World, the Western Hemisphere in terms of valuable natural resources along with the opportunity to gain power by establishing settlements in the New World.
