When the network changed its name in 1979 & officially became Nickelodeon, some more shows premiered but didn't last as long as Pinwheel... Nickel Flicks, America Goes Bananaz, By the Way & Hocus Focus. These lasted 1, 2 & one lasted 3 years

If by chance you meant the oldest currently running show, that would be SpongeBob SquarePants. It debuted in May of 1999 & continues to produce new episodes today (July 2015).

Although one could make the debate that The Fairly OddParents could be the oldest show having debuted as part of Oh Yeah! Cartoons in 1998 and continues to produce episodes today although the actual series didn't begin until 2001.
