well the titanic was going along the sea when it hit an iceberg this iceberg caused a hole in the ships lower decks. they did have special equipment to stop it sinking but this was only if the water was under 6 floors deep, unfortunately it was not. the titanic went up so it was completely horizontal then snapped in half, one part of the ship went under the water the other stayed up for about 5 minutes then it sunk aswell. the titanic is still in the Atlantic ocean but it is to deep down to bring it back up and if people tryed to swim down and see it they would get crushed nad killed by the amount of pressure being forced on the body. hope that helps!
