the average annual rainfall for Canada is 60.33 cm. That is alot!

Any average is going to be a meaningless because Canada covers over 9 million sq/kms, extending from the North Pole to below the 49th parallel and both east and west coasts of North America. That includes some of the worlds driest deserts and rainforests.

It is like asking what the world average is, and look at the discussion that creates.

That varies as many places lay claim to that status, usually by adding some descriptor to limit the contenders. For example Abbostford, BC gets about 5 feet or rain a year and makes it the wettest city, but others will claim it isn't total water that falls from the sky, fog counts as well and only the number of days with fog and rain matter so St John's is the wettest.
