You can't power your tablet directly with that -- the voltage is too high. You could use the "12 volts" to power an inverter that produces 60 hertz, 117 volts AC and then plug your AC-powered tablet charger into that. Then all you need to know is how much AC power the inverter can provide. I've measured the power needed to charge my android (Vizio) tablet. The AC-powered charger needs about 10 watts of power. That's a very light load for an inverter, so I reckon just about any inverter should work.
