It is back when their was racism real bad in the United States and the blacks had to go to school with the whites. It follows the football team of blacks and whites combined having to work together and eventually learn to grow up and love each other.
This might depend on the person watching it, but in my opinion it was "Never give up".
Racism=Not good. Love your fellow man. Winning isn't everything. True friends are like family.
