I research the this on the web and this is what I came across, "Although the minimum age recommended by Family and Children's Services' for a babysitter is 12, not every 12 year old or teenager is mature enough to care for a baby or a child." I don't know if that really answers the question, but it helped me to make up my mind when it comes to hiring a babysitter.
There is currently not a law that specifies the age a child has to be to stay home alone overnight. It is left up to the parents to decide if their child is mature enough to handle it.
UK law does not specify how old someone must be to babysit, however the NSPCC recommends 16 years and over.
If you can figure out how it is environmentally friendly, everyone will blindly jump on board, and it will be law to kill all cats.
The legal age in new zealand to babysit is from 14 years old and up
you can babysit at age 12 or 13, to work in an industry you must be 16, although some fast food places will hire at age 15, in Ontario there is a new law (not yet enforced) that people MUST stay in school until the age of 18, which is great, and then you can still have a part time job while completing highschool.

There is no age limit in Ontario. Current Ontario law only requires that the passenger be able to reach both foot rests.

In order to babysit you have to be 10 years old (or older). and have your babysitting license. That's a good guideline, but there's actually no law in Ontario that explicitly dictates an age and as far as I know there are baby sitting courses available to those who wish to pursue, but there is no babysitting license. there is a babysiting course that you enter and when this course is finished if you pass they give you a certificate.
Yes well in my opnion
You'll have to retain an Ontario lawyer to do it. The Law Society of Upper Canada maintains a Lawyer Referral Service if you don't know of one.
Depending where you live, by law there is an age limit to get a babysitting job. This site here will give you a run down on what you need to know about babysitting http://www.babysitting-rates.com/babysitting-laws.php.

Most states don't have any official law on a babysitting age, some do. It depends where you live. Usually 12 sometimes you even have to be 13.
