France is larger than Spain.

The Republic of France has a total area of 674,843 km2 (includes all overseas regions and territories but excludes Adélie Land);

643,801 km2 (includes the overseas regions of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion and Mayotte but excludes overseas territories and Adélie Land) ;

551,500 sq km (metropolitan France)

The Kingdom of Spain has a total area of 504,782 sq km (includes Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, and five places of sovereignty (plazas de soberania) on and off the coast of Morocco - Ceuta, Mellila, Islas Chafarinas, Penon de Alhucemas, and Penon de Velez de la Gomera)

France is the largest country within the European Union and the largest country in Western Europe.

This does not include water and coastal areas/Exclusive Economic Zones(EEZ).

If you include the EEZ, France has a total 11,035,000 km2 in comparison to Spain with a total of 1,545,225 km2

France has the second largest EEZ after the United States of America.
