during the book she is writing letters to Leo whom she feels she is still in love with which changes as she meets a new boy named perry
she also learns new ways to look at like from a little girl named Dootsie who she babysits.
its a very good book full of many things to relate to if u are a teen girl:)

Stargirl is a wonderful book About a Boy (narrator) named Leo, who meets a very 'different' girl. (One who likes to bring her pet rat to school.) But soon, he falls in love with her which is a big surprise. They're relationship goes where none has gone before and is so speical it will make you cry.
