Pretty Little Liars is about four girls whose best friend Alison, who they told all their deepest secrets to, mysteriously disappeared at the end of their 7th grade year. After Ali's disappearance, the girls go their separate ways. Four years later, Ali's body is found. Shortly afterwords, they start to get creepy text messages from a person who calls them self "A". "A" brings back their most unwanted memories of their past, threatening to tell their deepest secrets. The girls thought that since Ali was dead, at least their secrets were safe. It turns out they were very wrong.

The series is very good as well as the TV show. I really recommend this book and series for teenage girls who like a book that they cant put down!! It really has a variety of many different genres, like romance, mystery, drama, suspense, and thrill. It really is a great series.

Pretty Little Liars is following the dramatic lives of 4 girls named Emily Fields, Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, and Hanna Marin While at a slumber party during their 7th grade summer their best friend, also the queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis goes missing. All they can remember is Spencer showing up at the back door of the barn telling them she was gone. 3 years later Alis body was found. It was now a murder case. From there on out the girls received texts containing their deepest secrets only Ali knew. That person went by "A". It follows them throughout the months before ending in an 8th book.

If you want to know who "A" was ....well it was Mona Vanderwall. She was then killed later by Spencer in an attempt to save herself from Mona. Later "A" was the workman with the gold tooth. Ali was not killed. She has a twin named Courtney that had mental problems. She was supposed to be shipped away but got swapped and Ali was shipped away. Ali was a nasty person and when Courtney was killed (by Ali herself) later in 8th book Ali attempted to kill all four of the PPL. (Em, Spence, Hannah, and Aria) but in that attempt to burn down the building with them locked in, Ali was killed.

Well, there is so many events in Pretty Little Liars that it is hard to summarize, but, basically, Pretty Little Liars is the story of 4 girls (Hanna, Emily, Aria, and Spencer) who bond through the loss of their leader Alison. When Alison disappears (and then dies), the girls begin to be stalked by an unknown person who goes by A when she sends them creepy messages. A tricks the girls into thinking she's Alison, but she just knows what Alison knew because she found and read Alison's journal. Many people are accused of Alison's death, but really it ended up being Alison and the real Alison the girls befriended was her twin sister, Courtney, who through a series of events switched places with Alison. Alison killed Courtney out of revenge and then killed Jenna and Ian for various reasons. A man named Billy Ford takes over A's place after Mona Vanderwaal, the first A dies. Billy Ford is arrested. Alison attempts to kill all 4 girls by setting the house they are in on fire because she thinks they ruined her previous (in her opinion perfect) life. It is a great series to read because it is a spine-chilling, action-packed, you-want-to-read-more plot leaving you mind-boggled and confused. It is a mystery series written by Sara Shepard and published by HarperTeen. There are 8 books in total.

Pretty Little Liars is a very dramatic and suspensful story written by Sara Shepard.

The night that this happened was in Spencer's Barn located near the woods. All of the girls, Aria, Emily, Spencer, Hanna, and "Alison" were having a sleepover. Spencer got mad at Alison and finnaly kicked her out of her family's barn, furious and mad, Allison left. Spencer, a few seconds later regretted for what she said to Allison and ran after her. There was no sign of her. She went for about ten to fifteen minutes looking for her and came back to her barn horrified. All of the girls were up, asking Spencer questions where she was, and Spencer told them about what had happened. "I only heard her scream" she said. Three years later at Chapter 1 of Pretty Little Liars, the Dislaurenti's, Alison's mother and father move out of their home to another state, giving up. All of the four girls, no longer the best of friends start to receive text with no return address, but the only clue to who it was sent from is after each text -A. The "group" decides that it is Alison, but not speaking of it to anyone. The thing that worries them about the e-mail's or text that they receive that Asends them things only that Alison would know. Later in all of the books, all of them figure out that Alison's twin sister, Courtney was at the barn that night and not Alison. First of all, Pretty Little Liars is a show on ABC Family. To begin with the actual show: there is a group of five girls: Ali, Emily, Spencer, Aria, and Hannah, which are all best friends. One summer they were all hanging out in a shed, and they were having a sleepover, when they all woke up they couldn't find Ali. Thus Spencer went to go look for Ali. Spencer said she thought she heard her scream. One year later they all get these E-mails, texts, and notes all about their secrets from "A". Inevitably the girls think its Ali, but Ali is dead, her body already having been found. Since Ali couldn't have been the one writing the notes, the girls question: 'who would know all of their secrets?' The girls knew that they didn't tell anybody else, so they question 'who?'. As the series progresses clues are given as to the identity of "A" and who killed Ali. It is revealed that when Ali was alive, she was seen one night with a boy named Toby, who was peeking through Ali's window when they was getting dressed. After Ali saw Toby looking, she decided to get revenge. So she put a stink bomb in Toby's shed and garage. But when Ali was just about to put it off, she saw something really disgusting! Toby and his stepsister, Jenna were doing something that's 'a little bit too disgusting to say'. At that point, the smoke bomb caught on fire and went off in the garage, catching it on fire. As a result Jenna was blinded. After this, the girls had to carry the guilt for causing this disability. That deed, of blinding Jenna, becomes one of there secrets. So when the girls are getting all of those texts, E-mails and notes Toby seems like he's "A" and he might of killed Ali! He also has a tattoo which reads "901 free at last" (September 1st) which is the day Ali disappeared. Thus he could have killed Ali because Ali knew about what he and Jenna were doing that night, so maybe he wanted her dead in order to keep their secret. Also Jenna could have been working with him to scare Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hannah.
