Hi,
All hard drives can be removed. Normally Hard disks are connected inside the computer to the computers main circuit board called the Mother board. They connect to the IDE connection point using IDE(Integrated Device Electronics) cable. Since the box must be opened to take these out they are considered non removable. Removable Hard disks connect to the computers USB (Universal Serial Bus) point outside the box making them easy to put in and remove. The device themselves are the same. They are like old record players. They are a series of metal disks called platters stacked one on top of the other that take electric charge to store data. Not to be confused with Memory sticks that also act like Hard disks. These are really just Memory modules with batteries to prevent them losing information when you take them out of the computer. Memory modules (Ram) are your computers short term memory (Thinking power). When programs run data is not stored but short term memory is enabling all the functions that are happening in real time like calculations and what you see on the screen are stored. Hence when you turn off or get a power cut these short term things are no longer as the ones in the computer dont use batteries to make the information more permanent. Hence why Memory sticks are not proper hard disks. Because a loss of power to the printed circuits and chips means Information loss. But with a Hard disk you can send the disk away to a specialist to take the platters apart and read the physical changes in the platters to be read. Information recovery. Hope this was'nt too long winded & i hope it was helpful Michael
Only as fast as its CPU. Doesn't matter the size of the hard drive - the hard drive does not determine processor speed.
Yes PS3 uses a standard lap top hard drive and you do not even need to use one from PS3
you can delete it by transferring it to an extrenal hard drive, I believe.
Typicly, in a majority of PC's, The main drive of a computer, the default storage and boot location is the C:/ Drive. You can See this on "My Computer" option.Default Hard Drive: C:/
No. The PlayStation 1 does not come with a hard drive, does not have an expansion bay for one, and no official add-ons provide such functionality.
You can run programs from an hard drive, as long as it is plugged into a computer.
neither. a flash drive is a removeable storage device.
Get an extedended hardrive that is removeable. Or you can delete some of your things by going into Add or Remove Programs in your control panel. (saves money)
Use a removeable Flash drive to back up your files
COPY SONGS FROM THE CD DRIVE AND PASTE INTO A SEPARATE FILE CREATED ON THE DESKTOP ,THEN CUT THESE SONGS AND PASTE THEM TO YOUR REMOVEABLE DISK DRIVE OR YOUR PSP
a hard drive failure is when your hard drive stops working...
a hard drive is called "disque dur" in French.
* Hard disk drive * Hard drive * HDD
If the Hard drive is IDE (40 pins on the back) you would configure the primary hard drive as Master and secondary hard drive as Slave using the jumpers on the back of the hard drive.
It is the same as a laptop hard drive
No. IDE Hard Drive cannot be replaced with a Sata Hard Drive because the connectors are different. example. if you have sata hard drive installed on your machine. and you purchase IDE Hard drive. you won't be able to install the IDE hard drive where the Sata hard drive was because the IDE connectors are a different shape and size towards the Sata hard drive connectors.
Encryption software is a type of software that encrypts and decrypts data. This software is usually applied to to files on hard drives or removeable media.
