Our Skinner's real name is Arman Tamzarian, who used to be a real hell raiser in his youth. He met Seymour while serving under him in Vietnam. Tanzarian's mentor is thought to be killed in action. Armand goes to the Skinner home to break the news to Seymour's mother in person. She slips into denial at the news and insists that Armand is Seymour. Apparently Armand sees no harm in assuming the dead mans identity, (right down to his aspirations of becomming a school principal), to placate the distraught mother.
