Back in 1999 and 2000, Pokemon was a lot more popular than it is now. Some kids still watch it these days, but it's only on at 6 or 7 in the morning, so I'm pretty sure the show isn't doing as well as it used to, especially with Misty gone. (And soon Brock, Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny...)
There's been 13 seasons of Pokemon anime on TV and 15 movies for Pokemon, including ones that haven't been released yet. There's also 13 shorts (mini-movies) featuring Pikachu and other Pokemon.
