What is Ferb short for in Phineas and Ferb?

Everybody is just making up names like Ferbenstein and Ferbert. But I know for a FACT that it is "Frank". Here are all the informations I gathered:F = Frank (His Name)E = England (Canada is actually apart of England and that is where they came from)R = Reg (His grandfather's name)B = British (Because of his accent)That is why he is called Ferb. He is just embarrased because his names don't really match.

Actually, that was considered, but in "The Burned Episodes", Melany calls Ferb "Ferbington". Maybe it's just a nickname or something like that.

In an episode, Phineas called Ferb "Ferboush" or something. He said something like ferb-oush or something like that.

Ferb was named after a set builder named Frank, whose wife nicknamed him "Ferb". Frank, a friend of both Povenmire and Marsh, owns several tools and was considered a fitting choice for Ferb's namesake. In "Vanessassary Roughness" Ferb explain that his name is short for something, but he didn't get to say it.Ferb's name was derived from that of a mutual friend of Povenmire and Marsh named Frank, who "owns more tools then anyone they know." Frank was a set builder who had worked building and designing sets for shows such as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Frank's wife disliked the name Frank and gave him the unusual nickname "Ferb".
