firstly there is software damage, some software likes to save things to hard drive as they go, then clean up this save file when the program is closed. if this close process isn't observed, then bad data can be left saved, which can muck up your operating system.
secondly and more important there's the hardware damage. your hard drive has a sharp metal bit (the reader) levitating on a cushion of magnetism, holding it away from a thin layer of rapidly spinning metal (thinner than tin foil). when you shut down a computer, one of the last things it does is tell the reader to sit on a special stirrup, so that when the magnetism it is balancing on powers down the reader doesn't hit the metal, and in doing so grind a horrible, data killing scrape into your hard drive.
It does not Play and it does not damage the game or the computer if it is not scratched while you are doing it. Computers can not Play PS3 games and many computers do not even have BluRay disc drives to read the discs that most PS3 games come on

In order to charge the tablet from the computer - you need to leave the computer switched on.
If the Modem was already working and for example you unplug your computer and plug in the PlayStation 3 it will work after you go to the PS3 network settings and make the connection. It will be easier on you to find a used router and plug it into the modem and then plug both the computer and PS3 into the router.
You do not connect the PS3 ethernet cable to the computer. Just as you connect an ethernet cable to your PS3 to allow it to go online your computer may also have a spot to connect the ethernet cable to allow it to go online. The way the completed system will be set up is that ethernet cables are connected to a router for both the computer and the PS3 and the router is connected to the modem to allow online access to both your computer and the PS3. If you do not have a router you will need to purchase one and until then if you have a computer with online access the computer could be connected directly to the modem which you can unplug and plug in the PS3 to the modem with an ethernet cable. Then you go to network setting on the PS3 and complete the internet connection. In order to use your computer again online you need to unplug the PS3 and Plug the computer back in.

If it is on while you unplug it all four quadrants of the ring of light turn red. All you need to do is turn it off then when you turn it back on it will be back to normal. Same thing happens when you unplug the AV cord except it flashes.

You should unplug your ipod from the computer and then re-plug it :)
Well first you might damage your computer, two you might injure your self, and three you might do both. So i recommend that you turn it off, then press the on button on your hard-drive once then go ahead and unplug your computer and open it up.
