What happens at the end of the book Abduction by Peg Kehret?

Teenager, Clare Steves, is kidnapped by an old boyfriend, Eddie Spencer, who demands $250,000. The ransom is paid and Clare is released, but when the kidnapers are caught, they claim that the whole scheme was Clare's idea as a way to punish her father. She denies it and is put on trial.

Bonnie comes to save Matt at the Baseball game. Denny finds out and takes Matt. While doing that Bonnie sees both of them and chases them. They end up going on this vehicle over the water where all 3 of them are located. Denny attempts to kill Bonnie by shooting her with a surpressed gun and then throwing her down the water but that fails and the police arrests him.
