Ponyboy is sensitive since when Johnny, his best friend, died he was scarred and wouldn't believe it. Also when he was at the church he had a mental breakdown which shows his sensitivity because he started crying. Greasers would do anything to prevent themselves from crying. Moreover, Ponyboy also shows he is since when Darry hit him he ran away admitting he was sad and hurt. Lastly, he is also sensitive because when Dally scram at Johhny because Johnny asked about his parents Pony felt so bad for Johnny he almost broke into tears.
Welcome :)
Soda tells Ponyboy that Darry loves him (Ponyboy) but he does not understand him. Ponyboy only see the strict side of Darry.
Ponyboy is different from the other Greasers, he loves literature and enjoys watching movies. Sometimes Ponyboy doesn't think (to the dismay of Darry).I came up with these character traits:Loyal (he's always loyal to the Greasers)Bright (loves to read)Affable (all the Greasers confide in Ponyboy and think he's easy to talk to).
He laughed because Ponyboy was proving a point that he still has his sensitive nature side to him and no so tough to make two-bit feel better about himself.
Ponyboy is well-educated. He has morals. He wants to finish school, and not be caught up with the crimes of his friends, but they all love each other. Ponyboy does not like to vandalize or anything, even though he did play the smoke game with a kid's little brother who's name leaves me at this moment. Ponyboy is also very sensitive.
Ponyboy is a good kid overall. He is a greaser, but he's not into fighting like the rest of them. He's actually really sensitive and smart, but he tends not to show it. He likes to draw and talks about sunsets throughout the book. He also loves the book Gone with the Wind.
Do it yourself
Ponyboy protrays himself as dreamy, and sensitive, not very realistically-minded.

Many fans argue that Ponyboy Curtis is the cutest greaser in "The Outsiders." Ponyboy is described as having "big, greenish-gray eyes" and "light-brown, almost-red hair." His thoughtful and sensitive nature in contrast to his tough exterior makes him a favorite among readers.

Darryl called Ponyboy "little buddy" It made him feel good because he usually only calls Sodapop that.
