School dress codes were very strict in the 1960's. Boys wore slacks, a button down shirt, and leather shoes. Jeans, sweat pants, shorts, or sneakers were not allowed at school. No hats or T-shirts. The length of their hair was also part of the dress code. A boy couldn't have his hair touch the top of his collar on his shirt.
