Prospero was originally the Duke of Milan but he was removed from power by his brother Antonio who is the Duke of Milan at the beginning of the play. By the end of the play, Prospero is restored as the Duke of Milan.
What is the resolution of The Soul of Caliban and is everything resolve?
The tempest is about a group of people who get shipwrecked on a island (Miranda and prospero) and then they try and take over the island and enslave a native monster/man called Caliban and also imprison a island spirit called Ariel, after a few weeks Miranda stumbles across another person called Ferdinand and they both fall in love, I'm not sure what happens in between but at the end prospero sets Ariel free and Ferdinand and Miranda gets married, and everyone is happy :) Xx love sophiex hope this helps
Caliban is the son of Sycorax, a witch in Prospero's eyes. Sycorax inhabited the island for years before giving birth to Caliban. Sycorax then passed away and Caliban believes the island is his by birthright. Prospero was once an important man in a large city but his brother betrayed him and banished him to this island. Prospero, arrived on the island with his daughter and took it as his own. Therefore, it was stolen from Caliban. However it is rightfully Calibans.
It was too expensive for them to keep filming. Poor choice in my opinion because it was a great show. I hope they make a movie to conclude it.
Ariel is the magical spirit who Prospero releases from his control at the end of The Tempest.

With his magic powers gone, only the applause of the audience can set him free
Prospero repeately reminds Ariel of how he rescused Ariel from the evil witch Sycorax.

No-one really knows his last appearance, but his last play was The Tempest. It has some symbolism at the end of it, as one of the main characters, Prospero is a magician, and at the end of the play, he breaks his wand and throws his books into the sea. This may symbolise Shakespeare breaking his quill, and throwing away his parchment, as The Tempest was the last thing he ever wrote. This hidden symbolism shows what a genius he was. Hope this helps! :)
In the end of the Tempest, Prospero forgives his enemies,Antonio and the king of Naples then Miranda and Prospero return to their homeland,Miranda marries Ferdinand,Prospero gets his properties and his title back,he buries his magic books in his island.

The Tempest has many scenes centring around guilt or forgiveness. In particular, part way through, when Ariel presents the men who had chanced upon the island with a great feast. She shows them the food, makes them want it, then takes it away speaking about what they did to Prospero and Miranda. This comes to play in the end, as Prospero forgives those who had banished him years ago, primarily because he feels as though he has achieved what he needed to. He has made them feel alone, lost and guilty for the past, only after they feel this can he truly forgive them.
James the 1st was monarch when Shakespeare wrote the Tempest because Shakespeare wrote the Tempest when he was coming tot the end of his life and during his life Queen Elizabeth 1 and James 1 reigned and Queen Elizabeth 1 was monarch when Shakespeare was born so it is obviously James 1.The tempest was written in 1611. James I was king.
