The only similarity, really, is that both animals are mammals. A better question would be "What are the differences between the koala and the sloth?" the answer would then be:

  • Koalas are endemic to the continent of Australia, whereas sloths are found in South America.
  • Koalas are marsupials but sloths are placental mammals.
  • Koalas live almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, whereas sloths eat a variety of plant parts

Similarities between the human and rat digestive tract?

The main similarities between koala and human digestive systems are the basic organs of oesophagus, stomach, liver, etc. Koalas have a different digestive system and metabolism which enables them to digest gum leaves. Eucalyptus leaves are tough, toxic and low in nutrition, but the koala has developed a stomach which is capable of removing the toxins from where they are filtered out by the liver. The caecum completes the process by changing the eucalyptus leaves into digestible nutrients. The caecum is similar to the human appendix.

Are pandas bears or koalas?

Koalas are not bears at all. Their name is just "Koala". Koalas were initially called koala bears by the early settlers of Australia due to their similarities in appearances with small bears. koalas are marsupials, whereas bears are placental mammals. The two are not even distantly related.
