India was the one that had a very famous university called the Nalanda University in early BCs.India gave the world so many inventions so far which would have been remained useless.indians were the first in working on Logistics, When the ancient India had lots of researchers. Nalanda University attracted a lot of foreigners to study in India. India was considered the best place to study and do research. But now, things have changed a lot. It is not fair blaming the British rule.Because a lot of countries that were under British rule have developed… Singapore, a very small city-state grew from an under-developed country to one of the most successful countries in the world within around 30 years of Independence, Maleysia experiencing about 30 years independence,now has a very high education quality and so many universities with lots of foreigners students,it is modernized and developed.again with virtually no Natural Resources. How did these countries managed to grow so fast? Why haven't India grown like these countries? It's the fact that, they value professional education and career more than anything else. There is no point in blaming British as, the way they looted and stole India, they looted every other country. India owns a lot of natural resources like, Oil in Mumbai, a lot of harbor ports around the country, gold,Agriculture, and many others. It is the fourth richest country in the world, only next to United States, China and Japan,in having natural resources. But still India is considered a low-income country by World Bank.

Women have much lower literacy rate. Compared to boys, more fewer girls are registered in the schools, and many of them quit in early years. According to a 1998 report by U.S. Department of Commerce, the limitations of female education in India are inadequate school facilities (such as health facilities), shortage of female teachers and gender bias in courses (majority of the women are described as weak and helpless) The number of literate women among the female population of India was around 6% from the British Raj onwards to the formation of the Republic of India in 1947. Concerted efforts led to improvement from 15.3% in 1961 to 28.5% in 1981. By 2001 the literacy for women became about 50% of the overall female population, though these statistics were still very low compared to world standards and even male literacy within India. Sita Anantha Raman maintains that while educated Indian women workforce maintains professionalism, the men, in some cases, receive higher income for the same positions. Following independence, the Republic of India viewed education as an effective tool for bringing social change through community development.They understood that literate society can develop faster The administrative control was effectively initiated in the 1950s, when, in 1952, the government grouped villages under a Community Development Block-an authority under national programme which could control education in up to 100 villages. A Block Development Officer oversaw a geographical area of 150 square miles which could contain a population of as many as 70000 people. Despite some misfortunes the rural education programmes continued throughout the 1950s, with support from private institutions. Development Blocks were established in India. Nursery schools, elementary schools, secondary school, and schools for adult education for women were set up. The government continued to view rural education as a schedule that is totally democratic and continues.However world will encounter more civilized India as far as the education and professional careers improve inside the country.
