Wow, what a question!
Let's sum up some similarities:
* Location: the most obvious answer. Both countries are located in Northern Europe and (together with Denmark) part of Scandinavia. * Language: although Swedish and Norwegian are different languages, they are closely related, and Swedes and Norwegians often talk to each other with each of them using their own language. * Political system: both countries are democracies with a strong state, which means that things like welfare, health care, child care and education are considered to be state affairs. Swedes and Norwegians pay high taxes to make sure they can all benefit from this system whenever they need to. Notwithstanding this concept of "socialism with a human face" both are also capitalist countries with a well-developed free market economy.
And now for some differences:
* Landscape. Norway has deep fjords, plateaus, high mountains and tundra in the north, Sweden has a more diverse landscape with agricultural plains in the south, and forests, rivers and numerous lakes up north. In the most northern part there are also many high mountains. * Climate. Norway is rainy and cold due to its location at the Atlantic coast and its high mountain. Sweden has a friendlier climate with less rain, more sunshine and higher average temperatures. * Mentality.Norwegians just say what they think and can be rather blunt, while Swedes are generally rather quiet and reserved. * Economy.Norway owes a lot of its prosperity to oil and also relies heavily on fishing. Sweden has a more diverse economy with a strong industry and a strong IT branche.
Hope this helps!

The food is also similar, and both countries eat alot of fish. Their languages, Swedish and Norwegian are so alike that they can usually understand each other.
Sweden has a currency called "Swedish krona" (SEK) but is sometimes informally referred to as the "Swedish crown" in English. Norway has "Norwegian krone" (NOK) but is called "Norwegian crown" in English.
Swedish and Norwegian people look the same.
Norway and Sweden are two different countries and have two different languages (but similar). They also have different holidays, foods, customs, school systems and so on. The thing that connects them together however is that Norway was in union with Sweden from 1814 to 1905, but they never adapted their language. The Norwegian written language is mostly similar to Danish, even though they have a totally different pronunciation.
Sweden is to the east on the Scandinavian peninsula. They have a varied landscape, with islands, green meadows, forests, and in the northwest there are mountains.
Norway is west on the Scandinavian peninsula. They have mostly mountains and fjords along the coast, and some forests and fields inland in the southeast.
History:
Both nations were once in the Kalmar union with Denmark, but Sweden left it in the1600's. From 1611, Sweden became one of the leading powers of Europe, due to the genius of Axel Oxenstierna, and King Gustavus Adolphus. Sweden found itself transformed into the leader of Protestantism. In that era, it controlled Finland, the Baltics, parts of Russia, some Norwegian areas and some areas around Denmark. This era of being a great power ended in 1718.
Norway continued to be with Denmark until 1814. It was promised to Sweden after the Napoleon war, but Norway attempted to become an independent nation. It was then invaded by Sweden, but was allowed to have its own parliament while Sweden still controlled all Foreign Policies. Norway finally gained its independence in 1905, peacefully.
Norway, Sweden and Denmark were neutral during WWI.
In WWII, Norway was invaded by Germany, while Sweden stayed neutral.
(Because Norway was in an unwanted union with Sweden from 1814-1905, and because Sweden stayed neutral while Norway was being invaded by Germany, some Norwegians feel a small grudge towards Sweden)
Sweden has joined the EU.
Norway is not a member of the EU, but the EEA agreement allows them to participate in Europe's single market .
Culture:
Norwegians live more in rural areas, while in Sweden they live more centralized in the cities.
Swedes celebrate midsummer with their Maistang(May-pole), that they dance around and there's flowers and stuff. Norwegians make a huge fire and have barbecuing parties at midsummer.
The food is different. Example: Sweden has Swedish meatballs, Norway has fiskeboller(fishballs) and kjøttkake (big, fried meatballs).
Norway has brunost, lutefisk, lefse/a and whale meat.
Sweden has Swedish pancakes, surstromming and also lutefisk.
Economic and inventions:
Sweden has IKEA, Volvo, and Ericsson(Sony Ericsson). Norway has loads of oil, and invented paperclips and cheese slicers.
Other things:
Sweden gives the Nobel price for: Literature, Science etc.
Norway gives the Nobel Peace Price.
To put it simple we can say that Sweden and Norway is generally alike. A list of important differences is:
- Norways economy is based on oil and fishing, Sweden on industry
- Sweden has about double the population (and more bidder cities)
- Swedes are traditionally looking to Europe, Norway to US and England
- Sweden is a EU member, Norway is not.
- NOrway is better in skiing (but only barely...) :)
- both have fish
- Natur (maybe)
It is many more but here was just what I got on the go
Differences:
- The area (Canda-Second largest country in the world) (Norway-62)
- Sport ( Canada- Lacrosse and Ice Hockey) (Norway-Soccer,country skiing or biathlon, ski fabrics are popular)
- Language
