in most cases no. there are a lot of sites that say they have FREE movies to download but usually its fake and you only end up with viruses on your computer for having downloaded the movie. even after you download it it will require u to download other programs to watch it which wont work so its best to not try and download for free unless u hear of a website that actually works although they are rare and often times have many viruses.

Here's why free sites are more vulnerable to viruses: Free sites use alot of advertisements to gain income, and alot of those advertisements may have links to viruses or pop-ups. Its not the sites fault that some advertisement has viruses because the site is only concerned with making money from those advertisements. Where as if a site is funded by a company, or another form of income, there is no need for advertisements, so there are very little if any viruses.

Some websites are safe, while others can be malicious, and could lead to viruses entering your computer (although this is usually a rare case). Use your judgement while entering sites, as it is usually the very shady websites that contain these viruses.
No you should not. Those sites can put viruses and unwanted content on your computer. If it says "Download Minecraft for free" don't click its a scam. I tried it one time and it added Snap.do (A web hijacker) to my computer and made YouTube slow. The only trusted site to get Minecraft (not for free) is the main website.
