It's true that you can't get a real one. I guess you can only get it by hacking a Pokemon game ROM.
It seems that the reason you can't get that for real has to do with how Mewtwo never had armor in the manga. It was only an anime thing and the games are based more on the manga.

Sorry but you can only get an armored mewtwo (mew three) in crystal version.
Armored Mewtwo is only in the anime. The only way to get Armored Mewtwo in a game is if you download a hack, like Pokemon Hard Gold.

I don't know the codes but a good code combination is to have 943 master balls hold L in grass and if you have 943 poke' balls you'll find the Pokemon that's number is 943 arceus and also have the cheat that makes every Pokemon shiny and use the TM and HM cheat to get it any move you want then finally use the cheat that gets you 999 rare candies (once again I don't know the cheat by heart yet.....)
