Tribute is a song that was written by Tenacious D about the ''greatest song in the world'' that they apparently played when a beast told them he would eat their souls if they didn't. But Tribute is just a tribute to they greatest song in the world because as is mentioned in the song, they can't remember how the song went. The ''greatest song in the world'' though, is related to the song played in the movie in the faceoff against the devil at the end.
