There may be an 'average' worldwide weight, if such statistics were kept irrespective of age group (child or adult), but there is no particular weight, or ideal weight, or perfect weight, for either a young human male or an adult human male. Weight is related to height and body composition. In any event, what counts more than body weight is body fat percentage. An "average" weight depends on many factors, including bone structure. The recommended weights are usually less than actual weights. Although the "healthy" weight is often thought of as synonymous with the "recommended" weight given on charts, differences in bone structure, ethnicity, and race do affect the average healthy and/or recommended weights.Per studies in which males' heights were actually measured in various countries, weights could vary from 140s to over 200 pounds. Thinner men might average between 123 to 150. Heavier men could average from over 200 pounds to 300 pounds or more. For more information, see the page links, further down this page, listed under Related Questions.
