Buffy appeared in two episodes of the first season of Angel, "I Will Remember You" and "Sanctuary". (Angel appears in 5 episodes of Buffy from season 4 onward.)
She was mentioned several times relating to Angel's past, as well as her death at the end of Buffy season 5. Footage of her from Buffy episodes is also used on occasion.
At the end of Angel season 5, there is an episode where Spike and Angel track Buffy down in Rome to save her from a demon. However, the Buffy continuation comic reveals that this is merely a decoy Buffy.
Yes and no
Spike and angel go to Italy to see her in the 5th season
They see her from across the bar but they never get to talk to her
Spike made an appearance in season 1 of Angel, attempting to obtain a magical artifact that would make him invulnerable; this story line is a crossover from Buffy season 4 where Spike is very much "alive" (as in, undead) and soulless.Spike does not join the cast of Angel full time until season 5, which aired the next year after Buffy had ended. His appearance in Angel is a continuation of his character arc's final moments in "Chosen", the series finale of Buffy, where he is returned to L.A. first as a ghost, then as a corporeal vampire (and with his soul).
No
In Chosen, Buffy and Angel discuss Buffy's future and discuss whether the future was with Spike. This was also continued in Angel only with Spike showing off to Angel about his relationship with Buffy
They do sometimes, but it is not essential to watch one show to understand the other. For example, at the end of Season 4 of Angel, Angel is given an amulet to deliver to Buffy so she can win an important battle. When Angel arrives in Buffy's show, he gives it to her, with little needed explanation as to what happened in Angel's show. By watching both, it's definitely easier to understand plot points, but again, it is not completely essential. Anyway, Angel started during Buffy's 4th season, so the seasons coincide as such, "Buffy" and "Angel" respectively: 4-1, 5-2, 6-3, 7-4, then Angel's last season, 5, happens after "Buffy" has ended.
We never see Buffy in La in the show Buffy, but we did see her there in the spin off Angel, twice in the episodes "I will remember you." and "Sanctuary."
Angel is killed by Buffy in the season two finale: Becoming. He is sucked into a hell dimension but is brought back in the season three episode: Beauty and the Beasts. He comes back completely insane.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was in its fourth season when the spin-off "Angel" started.

In BTVS yes Buffy does see Amgel again. Buffy met Angel in Season 1, which is when their relationship began. Their relationship progressed in Season 2, which is when I would say they fell in love.
in the season finale of the first season Buffy goes after the master and they fight he kills her by drowning her, xander revives her and she goes on to kill the master

Angel and Buffy were togather till season 3 or 4. Then Angel left on buffys graduation day to L.A. to protect her. Then buffy falls inlove with spike in season 6. Buffy obviously loves both Angel and Spike, but its Angel she truly loves. I hope this answer isn't biased or anything, for I am a Bangel shipper(though I like Spuffy too).
