Why did Akito stab Tohru?
To be honest, I'm not sure if Akito stabbed Tohru because where the anime left off, it didn't show but most likely she wouldn't be stabbed because main character but if she doesn't it means that she either helped Akito like how she did with Isuzu or another soma will be there like Shigure, Momiji, Hatori and Hatsuharu but I can tell you Kureno will not be there because he got stabbed by Akito. And if you try to back track with the manga, I'm sorry but the story line will not match.
What chapter is episode 26 in fruit baskets?
It isn't there. It's just put there to end the anime series. The actual series ends much differently but so where did Tohru-san stand up to Akito-san like that. The only place that is like that in the manga is when Tohru-san talks to Akito-san in the woods and ends up falling down the cliff. That is the only thing close to their confrontation of Tohru-san being, how to put this but, sympathetic to Akito-san. The place where they became friends is when Tohru-san is in the hospital and Momiji-kun tells Akito-san to visit and told her (yes her) the story about the 'foolish' traveler who gave away everything he had and wished the people happiness.
