To be on board Titanic would have been magnificent. She was the greatest ship in the world on her maiden voyage. Accommodations were so fine in Second- Class that several passengers thought that they had accidentally wandered into First-Class.

Before it started sinking, Titanic was like The Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria, but on water. It was a luxury cruise ... but the air was very cold and the water icy. When the boat started sinking, panic insued. Most "unimportant" people where left below in their suits. Children where put to bed; never to awaken. Fools tried to get above and ran;swam through icy water in the ship. but when power when, some got trapped in elevators and closed off sections, to die a long death.
