Frieda (she of the naturally curley hair) is the same age as most of the other kids in Peanuts, which is to say ageless. When the strip started, Charlie Brown was in grade school, and Lucy was too young to go to school, but when Lucy's younger brother Linus was born, Lucy and Charlie Brown were shown as much the same age, and when Charlie Brown's younger sister Sally was born, Linus and Charlie Brown were shown as much the same ago. By the end of the strip, all of the characters except Rerun were about the same age, roughly eight years old. The Peanuts characters, like Little Orphan Annie, never grow up.

Comic Strip Dondi was a daily comic stripabout a large-eyed, (originally Italian) war orphan of the same name. It was created by Gus Edson and Irwin Hasen, and ran from September 25, 1955 until 8 June 1986. Irwin Hasen received the National Cartoonist Society Award for Story Comic Strip for 1961 and 1962 for his work on the strip. During these years, the strip was carried in hundreds of newspapers. By the time the strip ended, it was being carried in only 35 papers. Dondi's original backstory describes him as a five year old, World War II war orphan of Italian descent.[3]a soldier who was to be his future adoptive father (and who knew no Italian) found the child wandering in a war-torn village repeating the word "Donde" ("where") as he was looking for his slain parents. (I recall reading it in a comic book, but I could be wrong.) Dondi was eventually made into a family-oriented film produced and directed by Albert Zugsmith, released on 26 March 1961. It featured David Kory as Dondi, with costars David Janssen and Patti Page. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dondi
Snoopy is the dog in Peanuts. Mostly, Snoopy drives everyone crazy, he mostly spends his time sleeping on his orange dog house. He has a neck of imagination, he imagine's that he's a World War 1 flying ace, a chef, a spy, a person who's at a resort, and everything. Snoopy's best friend is a yellow bird named Woodstock. Woodstock is a good friend to Snoopy, but sometimes it gets stomped, squished, dragged, ran over and any other things that may happen to it. There are a lot of Woodstock birds around, but Snoopy finds his Woodstock in a nest on a old tree.
