Astronauts use relatively small cameras often just like the ones you buy in your local camera store held by hand through their viewports or on EVAs.
Satellites that are designed to take pictures of the Earth have much better cameras and are designed specifically to take pictures of the surface of the Earth often at wavelengths that you eyes or common cameras are not sensitive to.

There is no way to colonize Uranus. Because astronauts have not even been there. They can only get satellite pictures.
